Kencana Connecting Channel Dredging Work Targeted to Finish This Month

Dredging work on Kencana Connecting (PHB) Channel on Jalan Muria Dalam RT 06/02, Menteng Atas Urban Village, Setiabudi, South Jakarta which conducted since early January is targeted to be completed by the end of this month.

Its progress reaches 70 percent

Setiabudi Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency Unit Head, Yansori, dredging was carried out along 314 meters, from Jalan Putri RT 06/02, Pasar Manggis Urban Village until Jalan Warung Belek, RW 02 Menteng Atas Urban Village.

"Its progress reaches 70 percent. If it goes well, we are targeting it to finish by the end of March," he conveyed, Saturday (3/27).

According to him, mud dredging work is carried out as deep as 30-100 centimeters. His side deployed 7 SDA Unit personnel and 1 excavator to dredge mud from the channel.

"Channel needs to be cleaned because the silt already dense thus it can't hold much water. After dredging, we hope it can increase its capacity," he stated.
